History
Muscat is a very ancient grape variety, first mentioned in 1510. Of eastern origin and very different to the sweet Muscats, it is the result of a blend of two grape varieties, Muscat d'Alsace grapes and Muscat Ottonel. (Blended in equal proportions at Domaine Schlumberger).

Muscat is a delicate, very sensitive,grape variety. This wine mainly
comes from the BOLLENBERG and BUX plots. Being very difficult, our
Muscat is unfortunately not available every year.

How it is made & raised
A blend, in equal proportions, of two varieties of Muscat d'Alsace and Muscat Ottonel. Pressed pneumatically, Static settling of the must. Fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel vats. Bottled at the beginning of Spring.
Tasting notes
The robe is a pale yellow with green reflections of faint intensity. The disk is bright and limpid.
Tho
nose is pleasant, expressive, distinguished and displays a dominant of
floral flavours, rose, delicate vegetal, peppermint, spices, ginger.
Aeration reveals white flesh fruits, peaches.
The complex nose maintains a beautiful acidity with the feeling of a harvest with a beautiful maturity.
The
onset in the mouth is moderately ample and the alcoholic base well
balanced. One evolves on an honest and sharp medium, light and airy.
The range of flavours is intense on the delicate vegetal, peppermint,
fruity citrus fruits, spices.
The finish offers a beautiful length, a sharp and incisive vivacity. The range of flavours is remarkable.
