Pinot Gris Les Princes Abbés 2004
How it is made & raised
Hand-picked. Slowly pressed pneumatically. Static settling of the must. Temperature controlled fermentation from 1 to 4 months. Raised on fine lees for about 8 months.
Tasting notes
The robe is a buttercup yellow with clear reflections. The disk is bright and limpid. The wine has a youthful quality.
The
nose is pleasant, flattering, expressive and displays candied flavours,
fruity dominant, quince, cooked apple, slightly smoky.
Aeration
enhances the whole and reveals a delicate hop hint. The wine is
distinguished, varietals typified and offers a beautiful impression of
maturity of the grapes.
The onset in the mouth is ample, tender and
full-bodied and evolves on a sharp medium, slightly airy that smoky,
empyreumatic. A hint of bitterness is perceived.
The finish has a beautiful length and a delicate vivacity. The structure is ample and tasty without losing its freshness.
